CALAX Silang Aguinaldo section 91% done, opens Sept 2023
3.9-km Silang Aguinaldo segment of CALAX is just about done and is set to open next month

Last June, Metro Pacific Tollways-South (MPT-South) announced that work on the Silang Aguinaldo section of the Cavite Laguna Expressway (CALAX) is 80% complete. This means motorists bound for Cavite can get to Aguinaldo Highway quicker via the soon-to-be-finished 3.9 km segment.
Fast forward to August 2023 and it won't be long before the Silang Aguinaldo section (AKA Subsection 4) of CALAX will be completed. This comes after MPT South recently announced that work on the aforementioned section is now 91% done. What's better is that they plan to open it to the public next month.
Currently, work on the Aguinaldo Silang section is focused on the construction of toll facilities, road lights, signage, and sound barriers. Moreover, preparations are also being made for the electronic toll collection system as the new segment is expected to cater to an additional 5,000 motorists daily.

Once the new segment is officially opened, it will greatly enhance travel convenience for motorists heading from Laguna to Silang and Tagaytay, and vice versa. The new segment will also follow the company's vision for environmental safety, sustainable tourism, as well as green technology.
Like the currently operating portions of CALAX, Subsection 4 will also have solar panels on its toll plaza which generates power for the plaza's operations. Moreover, it has LED light fixtures on the roadway to enhance energy efficiency, as well as offset carbon emissions.
