It's official: Dodge's range-topping, high-powered muscle car is now in the Philippines. Auto Nation Group, the official distributor of Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles in the country, has brought in the Challenger Hellcat.

Back in January 2015, Dodge Philippines had confirmed that the Challenger Hellcat will indeed brought in the country by the third quarter of that year. The first units have just arrived a year after its planned debut date.

Dodge calls the Challenger Hellcat “the most powerful muscle car ever” and has several exterior tweaks to separate it from the Challenger SRT8. The two inner headlights see double duty as a pair of cold air intakes along with a ventilated aluminum hood and large front splitter. It also has dual air extractors placed on its hood to improve airflow to the engine. Other exterior changes to the Hellcat include split LED taillights, dual exhaust tips finished in black chrome, and a spoiler. The 2016 Challenger SRT Hellcat rides on 20-inch matte black forged aluminum wheels.

Making the Hellcat “The most powerful muscle car ever” is Mopar's HEMI engine, based on the motor from the SRT8, with upgrades to bump up the power significantly. It then gets an IHI supercharger that gives it an output of 717 PS and 880 Nm of torque. For the Philippines, all units are equipped with a Torque-Flite eight speed automatic with paddle shifters.

The Dodge Challenger Hellcat gets two different key fobs. First is the black key fob that limits power to 500 PS while the red key fob unleashes all of its 717 horsepower. With the red fob, Dodge says the Challenger Hellcat can do 0 to 100 km/h under four seconds to a top speed of 320 km/h. 

Dodge Philippines will be bringing in 10 units of the Challenger Hellcat to the country. As for prices, Dodge's halo muscle car starts at Php 6,300,000.

According to reliable sources, 8 out of the 10 cars are spoken for already.
