Driver in San Juan hit-and-run crash gets 3-month suspension
The driver may face the revocation of their driver's license

Staying true to its commitment to promoting road discipline by automatically suspending erring motorists, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) have ordered a 90-day suspension of the driver’s license of the motorist linked to a hit-and-run incident in San Juan City.
The incident, which has since gone viral on social media, happened along Santolan Road in the morning of September 20. In the dashcam video presented to the authorities, a Honda City with plate number NBI 3125 overshot the curve and hit the oncoming Toyota Rush on the other side of the lane. According to the police report, the driver of the Honda City “allegedly fled the scene and failed to report the matter to the police station.”

The LTO’s Show Cause Order (SCO) compels the vehicle’s registered owner and the driver involved to appear before its Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) in Quezon City on September 29, 2025, to explain why they should not be charged with Reckless Driving, neglect of duty after an accident, and being an Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle.
The vehicle was also placed under alarm while the investigation is ongoing.
