EV brand Weltmeister to enter Philippine market
Weltmeister to open its first dealership in BGC Q2 2022

There's a new car brand coming to town, and it will only sell electric vehicles (EVs).
WM Philippines (WMPH) was recently appointed exclusive distributor in the country for WM Motor (Weltmeister Motor), an emerging provider of EVs in China. WMPH is pioneering the distribution of the first full-play electronic vehicle in the Philippine market: car distributorship & dealership, charging stations, service, and parts.
The distributor agreement was signed last 11 February 2022, via Zoom, between Indonesia-based WM Motor Asia Pacific (WMAP) and WM Motor Philippines (WMPH). Executives from both companies - Mr. Yedi Sondhy, CEO of WMAP, and Mr. Rashid Delgado of WMPH – signed the agreement. Present to lend their support was WM Motor International Director, Board of Commissioner and & Shareholder, Mr. Huang Qinglai, Director, and Mr. Sri Hascaryo, Chairman & Founder, WM Asia Pacific.
WMPH is the first official distributor of the Weltmeister brand outside of China.WMPH will be opening its first showroom at 7NEO, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig in Q2 of 2022. In addition, the automaker is looking to bring Weltmeister's W5 electric crossover by Q2. It will then be followed by other models from the growing segments of cars, MPVs, and SUVs.
“The adoption of EVs has been an ongoing trend mostly seen in developed countries like Norway, the US, and China. We are excited to see the Philippines take this path and embrace the benefits of a more sustainable mobility solution,” said Delgado.
