First BYD Grab day caravan held at Global City dealership
BYD Cars Philippines partners with Grab Philippines for greener mobility

BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, has partnered with Grab Philippines, which is the country's prominent ride-hailing platform to officially launch the inaugural BYD Grab Day Caravan. Held last month at the BYD Global City dealership, the event marked a significant step in making electrified and sustainable mobility more accessible to Filipinos through the leading superapp Grab.

BYD says this initiative supports their broader mission to expand the reach of electric and hybrid vehicles across the Philippines. BYD says their range of NEVs also enable GrabCar driver-partners to save up to 40% in operational and maintenance costs compared to regular combustion engine-driven cars, resulting in higher earnings from every drive.
“This partnership with Grab allows us to bring electrified mobility into everyday transport, making it more accessible to more Filipinos. It reflects our commitment to building a cleaner, more efficient transport ecosystem, one that meets real-world needs at scale,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines.

At the center of the partnership is the BYD Seal 5 DM-i Dynamic a fuel efficient sedan built on BYD's plug-in hybrid electric vehicle technology platform. It offers up to 50 km of electric-only driving range and up to 1,175 km of combined driving range with its onboard engine. Its large size, spacious and comfortable interiors, low operating costs, and once-a-year preventive maintenance scheduling make the BYD Seal 5 DM-i Dynamic a great choice for TNVS operators and owners.
“The BYD Grab Day Caravan allows us to bring our electrified vehicles directly to the people who can benefit from them the most. It’s a great opportunity for GrabCar drivers to see and experience how the Seal 5 DM-i Dynamic delivers the kind of efficiency, comfort, and reliability that ride-hailing services demand every day,” said Adam Hu, Country Head of BYD Philippines.

GrabCar driver-partners who attended the event were able to test drive the Seal 5 DM-i Dynamic and take advantage of exclusive financing offers from bank partners, with convenient on-site application processing. Additional financial partners are expected to support future phases of the program.
“The partnership between Grab Philippines and BYD is a very welcome development not only for the riding public but also for our hardworking GrabCar driver-partners,” shared Ronald Roda, Grab Philippines Managing Director. “Through this collaboration, we aim to provide our drivers and operators the best opportunities to earn more and save more with BYD electrified vehicles while at the same time being responsible partners toward a greener and more sustainable mobility,” added Roda.

BYD Grab Day Caravan is set to roll out nationwide, reaching dealerships across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in the third quarter of the year. This will provide more GrabCar driver-partners easier access to BYD models and open up new opportunities for greater savings.
