Infiniti gives first look at their all-electric luxury crossover
Last month, Infiniti showed a teaser image of what appeared to be an all-electric crossover. According to the luxury marque, it previews a new high-riding luxury vehicle that will feature the brand's new design language and philosophy for electrification.
Now, with just one week left before the 2019 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Infiniti has released the first official photos of the all-new concept, the QX Inspiration. For the company, this signals the 'beginning of a new era' and gives a glimpse of what the company has in store in the near future.
Borrowing several styling cues from the Q Inspiration from 2018, the QX is essentially a crossover version of the sedan concept. It gets the same front fascia design that consists of sleek headlights, large faux front grill, and an aggressive-looking front bumper. It also comes with a sloping, coupe-like roof line, muscular wheel arches and curves, as well as large alloy wheels.

However, we have yet to fully see what the QX looks like from the back. But given that the QX appears to be a high-riding version of the Q concept from before, we won't be surprised if it gets a similar design as well.
Images of the QX Inspiration's cabin have yet to be revealed by Infiniti. However, the company did mention that it has a lounge-like interior thanks to the new electric vehicle platform. In addition, the QX will also feature hand-crafted designs, high-quality materials, and new technologies that follow the Japanese hospitality principle of 'omotenashi'.
Should the QX Inspiration concept be a preview of things to come, the production version could take on the likes of the Audi e-tron, Jaguar I-Pace, Mercedes-Benz EQ C and Tesla Model X.
The Infiniti QX Inspiration concept will make its official debut next week at the Cobo Center in Detroit Michigan.
