Is the Suzuki eWx concept a preview of the electric Jimny?
Suzuki eWx to be revealed in metal later this month

Suzuki Motor Corporation will make its presence felt at the Japan Mobility Show 2023, which is organized by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association and will be held at Tokyo Big Sight this coming October 26 to November 5, 2023.
The theme for the Suzuki booth is “Answers for Excitement throughout the World”. One of the vehicles that Suzuki will exhibit looks strangely familiar, but it’s an EV.
eWX Concept

The eWX – is an electric mini wagon concept model that, according to Suzuki is “a crossover of fun and practical mini wagon.” Its exterior design and shape seem to be inspired by the Jimny, which is a popular Suzuki model in many countries, including the Philippines and India.
Its overall dimensions measure at 3,395mm long, 1,475 wide, and 1,620 tall – which are closely similar to the dimensions of the current Jimny. While not much detail has been revealed by Suzuki, the company claims that the eWX concept mini wagon can go up to 230 kilometers before needing a recharge.

Will the eWX be a prelude for an all-electric Jimny? Earlier this year, Suzuki confirmed that there would be an electric version of the Jimny. While no exact details have been revealed just yet, the eWX’s close similarities and styling with the popular 4x4 model could be a prelude to an electric-powered Jimny in the future.
