Isuzu PH all set to launch 2025 mu-X facelift
A sleeker and more dynamic Isuzu mu-X awaits PH customers

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) is set to reveal its refreshed midsize 7-seater SUV. That’s right; after being spotted just before the New Year last December on STAR Tollway, IPC is all set to debut the new 2025 mu-X.
First revealed in Thailand back in June 2024, the refreshed midsize SUV is set to receive a bold and luxurious design. More importantly, Isuzu’s flagship SUV promises enhanced features to elevate both its style and functionality.

“We are excited to introduce the new 2025 Isuzu mu-X to the Philippine market. We know how much Filipino families love their mu-X, and this latest version is our best yet - offering the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and 5-star safety for both families and business professionals,” said Toshihiko Kojima, IPC vice president for sales.

Based on the teaser image IPC released, the updated Isuzu mu-X for the Philippines will look just like the one revealed in The Land of Smiles. That means we can expect the refreshed SUV to come with the new “Fighter Jet” front bumper, a new honeycomb grille with silver trim accents, new Dynamic Blade LED daytime running lights and headlights, redesigned LED taillights, and new alloy wheel designs.
Inside, the PH-spec 2025 mu-X will likely get a new multi-info display on the instrument panel, along with an upgraded touchscreen infotainment with more wireless connectivity features. LED ambient lighting could also be available to give the SUV a cozier feel. Last but not least, a suite of advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) may be available as standard on the high-grade models.

Under the hood, we can expect the 2025 mu-X to get the carried-over 3.0L 4JJ3-TCX and 1.9L RZ4E turbo-diesel engines. The former makes 190 PS with 450 Nm of torque, while the latter puts out 150 PS and 350 Nm of pull. Both engine variants are mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, while 4WD will be available on higher-tier models. There’s no word yet on whether the new 2.2L MaxForce DDi turbo-diesel engine will be offered locally.
With the big reveal only days away, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for any new info about the 2025 Isuzu mu-X.
