Motor vehicle registration for vehicles with plate ending in 2 extended until April 30
Motorists that have yet to renew their motor vehicle (MV) registration for plates ending in 3 can breathe a sigh of relief.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) recently announced that they have extended the validity of registration for motor vehicles with plate numbers ending in 3. Instead of the standard regulation where vehicles with plates ending in 3 will only have until the end of March to renew without penalty, the LTO has extended their MV validity until April 30, 2022.
The extension is to give motorists more time to renew their MV registrations amid the pandemic. However, the LTO said that motorists should not wait until the last minute to renew. Should they have the time to renew their registration, they are advised to visit their nearest LTO center right away.
This is not the first time the agency extended the validity of MV registrations this 2022. Earlier this year, the LTO extended the MV registration for cars with plates ending in 2 until March 31, 2022. This allowed motorists with vehicles ending in 2 to work on their renewal without having to rush to their nearest LTO.
Despite active cases dropping, the LTO wishes to remind everyone to follow the minimum safety protocols when visiting a renewal center. More importantly, one must always wear a face mask as well as follow physical distancing at all times.
