Mercedes-Benz gives 2025 SL roadster the Maybach treatment
Mercedes-Maybach reveals SL 680 Monogram Series

When you think of a Mercedes-Maybach, the thing that comes to mind could be an ultra-lux sedan limousine or a large SUV. Well this year, Mercedes-Maybach has decided to change it up and offer the luxury treatment to a drop-top roadster.
Here’s the new Mercedes-Mayback SL 680 Monogram Series, showing a new way for you to pull up to the next gala event for the society’s elite.

The ultra-luxe roadster is offered in two flavors – the Red Ambience, and the White Ambience, which combines with the obsidian black metallic to form a two-tone finish. Regardless of which color you choose, the SL roadster has been given the Maybach touch on the exterior with an illuminated grille, rose gold accents on the headlights, fancy windshield frames finished in gold, and big 21-inch wheels for that extra bling.
When you roll up the soft top, the SL features multiple Maybach logos, much like a Louis Vuitton bag. Buyers can also have this optional pattern painted on the hood – handmade by one of Mercedes-Maybach’s artisans.

The interior layout may have been unchanged, but inside the Maybach SL is an interior adorned with Crystal White Nappa leather on the door panels, center console, as well as the seats.
Meanwhile, the Maybach SL is powered by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 shared with the SL63. It produces 585 PS and 600 Nm of torque, paired to a 9-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels.

With focus on giving the best ride possible, the suspension has been retuned to be softer, along with more absorbent engine mounts for more comfort during drop-top cruising.
Pricing is yet to be announced, but expect the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series to be delivered to its rich and famous clientele by around the second half of 2025.
