This is the 2023 GX3 Pro, which Geely previewed to the public at the Manila International Auto Show. Featuring a higher ground clearance and SUV styling, the GX3 Pro is Geely's entry-level crossover study.

Measuring 4,005 mm long, 1,760 mm wide, and 1,560 mm tall with a 2,480 mm wheelbase, the GX3 Pro sits right at home in the subcompact crossover class where the Toyota Raize and Kia Stonic belong. In China, this is known as the Geely Yuanjing X3, and this model has been around in the PRC since 2021.

Looks-wise, the Geely GX3 Pro is much like a baby Azkarra with the way the side profile is designed. Up front, the vertical slats on the grille resemble that of the Emgrand sedan. Meanwhile, the rear end features a stylish spoiler with a unique set of taillights. To complete the SUV styling, the rear bumper gets faux skid plates.

Inside the subcompact crossover is a familiar dashboard that's carried over from the Emgrand sedan. It gets the same D-cut steering wheel, analog gauges, and central touchscreen. It even has the same gear selector, toggle switches, and auto climate control panel.

Powering the GX3 Pro is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine with 102 PS and 142 Nm of torque, paired to a CVT that sends power to the front wheels. There is also a 5-speed manual option for those who want to do their own shifting.

There's no word yet if Geely will actually launch it here as they are currently studying whether to bring it officially to the Philippines. If you want to see the GX3 Pro for yourself, Geely is showcasing the crossover over the course of the 2023 Manila International Auto Show, which will run from April 13 to 16 at the World Trade Center Manila.
