Mitsubishi Montero Sport Black Series trades chrome for black
After launching the Xpander and Strada Athlete Black Series models a few months ago, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has revealed another blacked-out special.
Say hello to the 2022 Montero Sport Black Series. True to its name, this particular SUV gets a blacked-out front grille, gloss black bumper garnishes, and black-painted 18-inch alloy wheels. To top it all off, the SUV also gets black roof rails, and a black spoiler to match the vehicle's darker appearance.
Prefer your Black Series Montero Sport in a different color? Aside from the standard Jet Black Mica finish, customers can also have the Black Series painted in White Diamond that's paired with a black roof.
Besides having a sleek black exterior, the Montero Sport Black Series also carries several high-tech features and amenities. These include active and passive safety systems such as forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, active stability and traction control, and a nano-e air purifying system. Other amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, leather seats, touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and power-adjustable front seats.
Powering the Montero Sport Black Series is a 2.4-liter turbo-diesel MIVEC engine. It makes 181 PS at 3500 rpm along with 430 Nm of torque at 2500 rpm. Power is then sent to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission with manual select.
The new Montero Sport Black Series retails for PHP 1,981,000 with an additional PHP 15,000 for the White Diamond exterior paint. To know more about the new Black Series, interested customers may visit the Mitsubishi website or schedule an appointment with the nearest dealer.
