Mitsubishi Motor Philippines Corporation (MMPC) just revealed a limited edition variant of its popular Mirage G4.
Called the Mirage G4 GLS Sport, the special edition model features unique exterior upgrades that are not available on the regular variants. Mitsubishi says that the Mirage G4 GLS Sport caters to customers that are looking for added flair from their popular sedan, but also value reliability and efficiency.
The subtle exterior enhancements include an under-grille garnish with a chrome line, a front air dam, a rear air dam, a rear lip spoiler, and side air dams. The result is a sportier-looking Mirage G4.
Since it’s based on the GLS variant, the Sport model comes with a wide array of standard amenities. These include automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, push-engine start, keyless entry, as well as a multi-function steering wheel.
Under the hood, the Mirage G4 GLS Sport is powered by the familiar 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated three-cylinder MIVEC. It puts out 76 PS along with 100 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the wheels via a CVT.
“The Mirage G4 has always been an embodiment of dynamism, which is why we fondly associate it to be ‘Game For Anything’ much like the personality of its owner. With this newest iteration, Mitsubishi wishes to reach out to every type of customer that there is. We want to give them options that best represent their individuality so they get to experience what we mean by ‘Life Made Better’,” said Takeshi Hara, president and CEO of MMPC.
The Mirage G4 GLS Sport will retail for PHP 929,000. In addition, only 300 units of the Mirage G4 GLS Sport will be made. Three colors are available for the limited edition sedan; Titanium Gray Metallic, Red Metallic, and Cool Silver Metallic. A 2-year free PMS package with sanitation service also comes standard for every purchase until the end of February.
