Mitsubishi teases new Ralliart Concept Car
Mitsubishi to reveal new Ralliart Concept Car at 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon

Mitsubishi's latest vehicles aren't exactly the most exciting cars around. Their current lineup consists mainly of crossovers, SUVs, and recently electrified vehicles. The revival of the Ralliart brand did get us very excited about the brand. However, the current Ralliart parts consist of sticker packages for the Strada and the Montero Sport. But it seems that will all change at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon.
The automaker has announced that they will be revealing the Ralliart Concept Car at the Tokyo Auto Salon happening this January 2022. Unfortunately, there are no details about the concept yet apart from a lone teaser image of the vehicle's rear bumper.
Specifically, we get to see the sporty bumper with an integrated diffuser and the Ralliart badge. At the center of the diffuser also appears to be an F1-style rear foglamp. Interestingly, the design reminds us of the Lancer Evolution X's factory rear bumper with the diffuser.
At this point, it's still unclear whether the concept is a sedan or a crossover. However, we suspect it could be the latter. The only sedans currently available in the brand's lineup are the Mirage G4 and the China/Taiwan-exclusive Lancer models. There's also the lack of exhaust tips in the diffuser, which means that it could be an EV or a plug-in hybrid.
Whatever the case, we're keeping our hopes up with the new Ralliart Concept Car. At least it's a full-size model and not just a bunch of stickers added onto existing vehicles. We'll know more about the vehicle once it debuts at the Tokyo Auto Salon next month.
