MMDA: Morning number coding is back starting August 15
Aside from the number coding scheme between 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, there will also be number coding from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM

For the longest time, motorists were able to go around Metro Manila in the daytime (except in Makati) without fear of violating the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP), AKA the number-coding scheme. That's because, since November 2021, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has been imposing a modified number coding scheme that only takes effect between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
Starting on August 15, 2022, however, motorists will no longer be able to go around that easily. The MMDA has just announced that beginning next week, there will be number coding in the morning between 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. As a result, motorists with coding vehicles will be restricted along major roadways.
Since the number coding will only take effect between 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM as well as from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, does this mean there are window hours? According to the MMDA, there is. That means from 10:01 AM until 4:59 PM, coding vehicles are free to roam around.
With the number coding scheme to be in effect starting August 15, better check what day your vehicle falls under.
