MMDA's new Acting Chairman is Engineer Carlo Dimaguya III
Carlo Dimayuga III will replace Romando Artes as the agency's Acting Chairman

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has officially welcomed its new Acting Chairman.
Serving as the MMDA's newest leader is Engineer Carlo Dimayuga III. President Ferdinand “Bong Bong” Marcos Jr. officially announced Dimayuga as the new Acting Chairman after signing his appointment last August 1, 2022. He took his oath of office before Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez last Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
“The MMDA welcomes Engr. Dimayuga as its new Acting Chairman. The agency believes that with his instinctive understanding of operations and managerial perspective, he can steer MMDA towards delivering better basic services to the public,” said MMDA Flood Control and Sewerage Management Office Director Baltazar Melgar, who served as the agency's Office-In-Charge since July.
Dimayuga will replace Romando Artes who was appointed as Chairman by former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte last March 2022. Dimayuga passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination in 1997 after studying Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Sto. Tomas (UST).
With Dimayuga now leading the MMDA, he is tasked with managing traffic in Metro Manila amidst the upcoming return of face-to-face classes in the coming months.
