The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has clarified earlier that the number coding scheme will retain its present implementation with window hours, and not the “7 AM-to-7 PM” (no window hours) scheme.
This is after a resolution from the MMDA was reportedly approved today, October 25, 2023, removing the current window hours.
“The same MMDA number coding will be implemented from 7 AM to 10 AM and 5 PM to 8 PM, Mondays to Fridays, except weekends and holidays,” MMDA clarified on X (formerly Twitter.)

The MMDA also clarified that the supposed resolution is yet to be implemented as the agency will have to study the vehicular volume after the holidays.
Most cities in Metro Manila implement the same number coding scheme as the MMDA with window hours from 10:01 AM to 4:59 PM, and no number coding in effect from 8:01 PM until 7:00 AM the following day.
Meanwhile, only the cities of Makati and Las Pinas implement a windowless number coding scheme from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
