Motorists who frequently travel along the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) will now be able to travel to Governor's Drive in General Trias, Cavite.

This comes after the new 7.8 km Subsection 3 was recently opened to the public. With it, the toll road now extends all the way to Governor's Drive Interchange, cutting travel time between Binan, Laguna, and General Trias in Cavite from one hour to about 26 minutes. What's better is that starting 12:00 midnight, Subsection 3 will be toll-free for an entire month.

“This is 10 years in the making. Ang nagiging problema natin sa lahat ng mga construction ng mga kalsada ay 'yung right-of-way. Kaya't mabuti naman at ngayon nabuksan na natin. I can announce na mabuksan ninyo starting 12 midnight tonight… and for one month wala na muna toll,” said President Ferdinand “Bong-Bong” Marcos Jr.

The subsection of CALAX, which spans from Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange to Governor's Drive, is expected to accommodate around 6,000 additional motorists daily. More importantly, CALAX now spans 26 km from Mamplasan in Binan, Laguna.

Once the entire 44.6-km expressway is complete, CALAX will connect CAVITEX and SLEX, forming a key corridor for motorists and transport logistics in the region.
