NISMO and Casio team up for limited edition watch
Casio releases new limited edition EQS-930NIS chronograph in collaboration with NISMO

NISMO fans, there’s another item that you should add to your collection. It’s not a car or a car part; instead it’s something you can wear every day as an accessory.

Casio recently introduced the newest addition to the high-performance Edifice line – the Edifice NISMO Limited Edition EQS-930NIS. As the name implies, it is built in collaboration with Nissan’s motorsports division. The watch captures the spirit of NISMO wearing its company’s signature black and red color scheme. Specifically, the inset dials, bezel sides, and buttons are accented in red in contrast to a black base.

Diving into the details, the watch face adopts a carbon fiber design to give it a sporty vibe. The number 23 on the bezel stands for the numbers Ni (2) and San (3) in Japanese. It is also engraved on the caseback. Apart from 23, the NISMO logo is etched on the bezel, band loop, and case back. In addition, the inset dial at the 10 o’clock position has a burnt titanium finish, recreating the design of an exhaust.
Casio didn’t stop with NISMO details on just the watch itself. The surface of the rubber watch strap is textured to resemble a tire tread after a race. Since it’s based on the EQS-930, it is solar. It also has a stopwatch function should you take it to the track since it is a chronograph.

Casio did not say how many units of the Edifice NISMO Limited Edition EQS-930NIS will be built. It’s also uncertain whether it will be exclusive to Japan or be sold elsewhere in the world.
Comparing it with the recently released Citizen Nissan Fairlady Z-themed watch, which one do you like better? Both of them are chronographs too. Share your opinion in the comments below.
