Nissan unveils second EV concept for Japan Mobility Show 2023

In the weeks leading up to the inaugural Japan Mobility Show (formerly known as Tokyo Motor Show), Nissan announced they are revealing four new concept cars that showcase their vision for the future.

Last week, they started their non-stop live streaming on YouTube along with the reveal of the Hyper Urban concept. Now that we've entered a new week, it's time for Nissan to showcase the second concept car – and it's called the Hyper Adventure.

As the name suggests, the concept vehicle aims to be a sports SUV designed for the outdoors. It has a high-riding body that features sharp curves and lines, particularly the diagonal part on the side of the vehicle that highlights the spacious cabin.

The interior is designed to make for comfortable driving, while the layout is optimized to fit outdoor equipment such as tents, skis, or even a kayak. Furthermore, the unique features of the cabin include rear bench seats that can rotate 180 degrees, serving as a comfortable viewing deck especially when the retractable steps are deployed and the rear hatch door is opened.

To power up outdoor gadgets and other recreational equipment, the Nissan Hyper Adventure's large-capacity battery doubles up as an energy source, thanks to its V2X (vehicle-to-everything) capability found in Nissan's current EVs like the Leaf and the Ariya. It can provide power to homes and contribute surplus power to the local grid.

And to reach remote areas with ease, the Nissan Hyper Adventure comes with the advanced e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive system.

Along with the Hyper Urban concept, the Hyper Adventure will likewise be displayed digitally at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show, together with the next two concept cars.
