Peugeot to add more variants in PH lineup this 2023
Could Peugeot bring back the GT variants or reveal hybrid models this 2023?

Peugeot Philippines is experiencing a resurgence after it posted a record 285% growth in sales for 2022. This comes after the automaker was relaunched under the Astara distributorship last year, as well as the arrival of the all-new 2008 and refreshed versions of the 3008, 5008, and Traveller Premium van.
With Peugeot roaring loudly into 2023, the brand with the Lion's badge is kicking things into high gear. The company recently announced that it will be bringing in additional variants of the 2008, 3008, 5008, and Traveller.

During a media event, Maricar Parco, the brand head of Peugeot Philippines, confirmed the news a few days ago. Parco did not go into detail as to what variants will be arriving in the country. However, she did say that the new models coming in will complement the brand's already existing variants.

Looking at the current Peugeot lineup, the variants we currently get are based on the Allure models that are built and sourced from the company's plant in Gurun, Malaysia. This leads us to believe that we could see the return of the GT variants. Compared to the Allure, the GT variants serve as the top-of-the-line offering and come with more equipment and unique exterior features.

On the other hand, we might also see Peugeot bring its hybrid variants into the country. With more and more automakers jumping on the electrification trend, it would be wise for Peugeot to follow suit. Moreover, having a hybrid vehicle means interested Peugeot customers can get 15% off vehicle registration, exempted from the number coding, as well as other perks.

With not much more details about the new variants coming in, we're hoping Peugeot reveals more information soon in the coming weeks or months.
