2024 Range Rover Velar refresh gets sleeker appearance, minimalist cabin

After making its world debut earlier this year, the 2024 Range Rover has officially arrived in the country. Featuring a refreshed exterior and interior, the stylish luxury SUV gets a subtle redesign inside & out, along with improved engine choices.

Beginning with its looks, the designers decided to keep the changes to a minimum. There's a new grille at the front inspired by the all-new Range Rover, stylish LED Pixel headlights, and the eye-catching “super LED” taillights. There's also a slightly revised bumper diffuser at the back which further highlights the SUV's sleeker appearance. Last but not least are the huge 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels with Continental Cross Contact tires.

While the outside only received minor design changes, the interior of the 2024 Range Rover Velar was heavily redesigned. The dual touchscreen layout is no more as it has been replaced with a more modern touchscreen infotainment system. The new center screen measures 11.4 inches and has a curved design which complements the more high-tech-looking cabin. More importantly, the touchscreen now incorporates the functions for climate control, in-car amenities, chassis/powertrain settings, and integrated navigation.

With no physical buttons on the dashboard (only for the steering wheel), Land Rover says the Range Rover Velar has a more futuristic-looking cabin. And despite the lack of any buttons on the dashboard, the automaker claims that 80% of the tasks can be done with just two taps on the home screen. The Pivo Pro 7 infotainment system now also supports over-the-air updates to keep it up-to-date at all times.

Depending on customer preference, the full-leather interior can be finished in a wide array of colors which include new hues like Cloud, Caraway, Deep Garnet, and Raven Blue. When it comes to cabin accents, the SUV can be fitted with Moonlight Chrome or Satin Burnished Copper on the steering wheel. There are also trim pieces that are available in either Shadow Gray Ash wood veneer or Dark/Light Anodized aluminum.

Also worth mentioning is that the 2024 Range Rover Velar is available with Active Noise Cancellation via the optional Meridian 3D Surround Sound system that comes with a total of 17 speakers. There's also a Cabin Air Purification Plus filtration system that ensures clean air comes into the cabin of the Range Rover Velar.

Under the hood of the 2024 Range Rover Velar is the P250 powertrain. It's a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 250 PS and 365 Nm of torque. It is then mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with 4WD capability and Terrain Response.
