MPD to shut roads and implement re-routing schemes near Manila North Cemetery
Motorists looking to visit their dearly departed at the Manila North Cemetery next week during Undas are advised to take note of road closures in the city.
The Manila Police District (MPD) announced that it will implement road closures and re-routing starting at 10:00 PM on October 29 until November 2, 2022, as the country observes this year's All Saint's and All Soul's Day.
The following road closures in Manila are:
-Stretch of Aurora Blvd. from Dimasalang to Rizal Avenue
-Stretch of Dimasalang from Makiling to Blumentritt Rd.
-Stretch of P. Guevarra from Cavite to Pampanga St.
-Stretch of Bluementritt from A. Bonifacio to P. Guevarra St.
-Stretch of Retiro from Dimasalang to Blumentritt Ext.
-Stretch of Leonor Rivera from Cavite to Aurora Boulevard
As for the re-routing, all vehicles coming from Dimasalang Road heading to Blumentritt will have to make a right to Makiling Street, straight to Blumentritt Extension to point of destination.
Meanwhile, all vehicles from Rizal Avenue that plan to head to Blumentritt will have to continue going straight to Rizal Avenue until their point of destination.
Those heading towards La Loma and Chinese Cemeteries will have to go to Rizal Avenue & J. Abad Santos Avenue as your point of entrance or exit (and vice-versa).
Last but not least, truckers and big rigs coming from A.H. Lacson Avenue that intend to go to Dimasalang Road will instead have to head towards Yuseco Street to point of destination.
Those that plan to visit the Manila North Cemetry can park their vehicles in the following areas.
-Simoun St., from Dimasalang Rd. to Mayon St. to accommodate 150 cars
-F Huertas St., from Blumentritt Rd. to Aurora Blvd. to accommodate 100 cars
