Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has released the official photos of its crossover mule which will be used to develop the drivetrain of the brand's upcoming SUV.

Rolls-Royce said that the crossover mule is based on a shortened Phantom Series II body and it has been built to begin the development of an all-wheel drive suspension system which will deliver an “effortless” ride.

The luxury automaker adds that the photographed mule hints at the size of their upcoming “high-sided, all-terrain motor car.”

The mule will begin testing this week and Rolls-Royce stated that the company will test the model's new suspension across all types of “international road surface specification at test facilities, as well as on public roads.”
