After winning numerous awards, namely the World Urban Car of the Year and Red Dot Design Awards, the Japanese automaker has released a limited edition variant of their cute and retro EV, the Honda e.
Limited to only 50 units across the EU, this particular Honda e will have a Premium Crystal Red paint job with a bevy of black accents. Unique 17-inch wheels, along with front and rear black badging, will further elevate the sleek and emotive styling of this EV hatch.
With a 35.5 kWh battery pack, the pint-sized EV is only limited to a 205 km range. The rear-wheel-drive EV makes 152 PS and 315 Nm of torque making it very capable of driving around the city streets.
Honda is known as an engine supplier for Formula 1. With this release, they tapped the reigning F1 champ Max Verstappen to highlight the campaign. Honda says that when he isn’t on the track with his R18, the champ likes to tackle the urban jungle with Honda’s cute little EV. Verstappen has nothing but positive words to say about the little hatch, he says its funky looks, compact design, and fun-to-drive attitude are the best features.
With the recent Honda and Sony collaboration forming a new EV company, could this be the last farewell run for the e? Could we get a new range of electric vehicles from Honda soon?
