TMP recalls almost 12K Toyota, Lexus units due to camera problem
TMP announces recall for parking assist ECU reprogramming on multiple Toyota, Lexus models

Toyota Motor Philippines has announced a recall that affects multiple Lexus and Toyota models equipped with Panoramic View Monitor systems.
The recall was issued as the Parking Assist ECU may intermittently freeze or fail to display the rear view image, especially shortly after vehicle startup. This may increase the risk of a collision, especially when backing up.

A total of 3,258 Lexus units and 8,502 Toyota units are affected by this recall, with varying production periods depending on the model. Nine Lexus models, namely the ES, GX, LC, LM, LS, LX, NX, RX, and RZ, are involved in the recall, while five Toyota models, namely the Alphard, Camry, Land Cruiser 300, Land Cruiser Prado, and RAV4, are affected by the issue.

Toyota and Lexus have created a dedicated page on their websites for those who would like to check if their vehicles are included. In case they are, the affected customers are highly encouraged to schedule an appointment at any official Lexus and Toyota dealerships nationwide.

The Parking Assist ECU will be reprogrammed free of charge, and can also be done during the customers’ regular PMS schedules.
