Lite Ace model lineup in PH gets new more business-friendly variants
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) strengthens its support to Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with the addition of two more variants of its newest light commercial vehicle, the all-new Lite Ace.
After unveiling the Panel Van and Pickup variants during last month's launch, the Lite Ace lineup has expanded with the introduction of the Lite Ace FX Utility Van, as well as the Lite Ace Cargo Aluminum Van. Both variants are available for preorder in all Toyota dealerships nationwide starting August 1, 2022.
Starting with the FX Utility Van, Toyota says it can seat 12 persons in total (including the driver), which can serve as an ideal people carrier. Meanwhile, the Cargo Aluminum Van variant is best suited for agricultural businesses or for those who need to move dry goods and other materials with ease.
"We are very encouraged by the warm reception and positive product feedback that we received from customers when we released the first two variants of the all-new Lite Ace. One of the key strengths of the all-new Lite Ace line is its versatility and flexibility, and with the availability of the FX Utility Van and Cargo Aluminum variants, we will be able to address the needs of more entrepreneurs and business operators for efficient and economical transport,” said Sherwin Chualim, TMP’s First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations.
Like the Panel Van and Pickup variants first revealed last month, the Aluminum Van and FX Utility Van models are also powered by the 1.5-liter 2NR-VE four-cylinder engine with Dual VVT-i. The engine makes 98 PS at 6000 rpm along with 134 Nm of torque at 4400 rpm. It is then mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox that drives the rear wheels.
When it comes to safety, both new variants of the Lite Ace come with dual front SRS airbags, anti-lock brakes, and vehicle stability control for extra peace of mind. The maximum payload capacity for the FX Utility Van and Cargo Aluminum Van is rated at 720 kg and 625 kg, respectively.
The new Lite Ace FX Utility will retail for PHP 727,000 while the Cargo Aluminum Van will have a sticker price of PHP 699,000. Both variants are available for preorder in all Toyota dealerships nationwide starting August 1 while an official release is expected in September 2022. Customers can also avail themselves of special MSME financing packages for these two variants through Toyota Financial Services Philippines (TFSPH).
