Tuner transforms Suzuki Jimny 5-Door into a Chevy K5 Blazer
This Suzuki Jimny 5-Door trades retro looks for classic SUV aesthetics courtesy of Cal's Motors

It seems Japanese tuners just can’t get enough of modifying the Suzuki Jimny. Combined with the country’s quirky obsession with American cars, Japanese tuner Cal’s Motors recently revealed a redesigned Jimny that looks just like a classic American SUV.
Say hello to Cal’s Motors’ Beas+ L, and boy, does it bring us back to the good ol’ days. Using a Suzuki Jimny 5-Door as a base, the Beas+ L sees the 4x4 come with a Chevrolet K5 Blazer-like appearance. From the square headlights to the vintage chrome grille, as well as the chrome bumpers, the classic SUV look suits the Jimny’s retro-inspired design.

The tuner even went to the trouble of putting Moon Chrome alloy wheels, which go well with the K5 Blazer-like look. Also worth mentioning is the refreshed spare tire cover, the Cal’s Motors lettering on the hood, and the round LED taillights on the chrome rear bumper.
Hop inside, and the changes are more subtle. Customers can expect to get new features such as leather-style seat covers, custom floor mats, and a new 7-inch Alpine touchscreen infotainment system complete with navigation and a digital rearview mirror.

Under the hood, all remains the same as the Jimmy-based Beas+ L still gets the 1.5L naturally aspirated K15B four-cylinder engine that makes 105 PS and 134 Nm of torque. It is then paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic transmission and a part-time 4WD system.

Interested in turning your 5-Door Jimny into a Chevy K5 Blazer tribute? Better have the checkbook at the ready as prices start at JPY 3,740,000 for a full conversion (around PHP 1,444,829). The kit is also available for the 3-Door version at a slightly cheaper JPY 3,080,000 or PHP 1,189,350.
