Volvo confirms all-electric EX60 SUV for 2026
Volvo EX60 will be the EV equivalent of the XC60 SUV

Volvo looks to be intent at offering a subcompact, compact, midsize, and full-size SUV with fully electric powertrains in its lineup.
The Swedish carmaker has confirmed on a social media post that the Volvo EX60 is set to debut in early 2026. Along with it, is a teaser photo revealing the taillight design of the new all-electric model.
The EX60 was mentioned by Volvo as a midsize SUV, and is expected to be similar in dimensions to its ICE and hybrid counterpart, the XC60. Currently, Volvo already has the EX30 subcompact, the coupe-like EX40 and the EX90 flagship SUV in its electric lineup, and the EX60 is expected to fill the gap between the latter two existing models.
Volvo has also announced that unlike the EX30, the EX60 will be underpinned by the third-generation Scalable Product Architecture – an EV platform that’s 100% developed by Volvo, instead of the SEA platform that’s shared with Geely.
Furthermore, Volvo claims the EX60 will be a fully software-defined vehicle, which means its features could be further expanded and refined via over-the-air updates (OTA).
For now, Volvo is still keeping quiet with the rest of the specifications and details about the EX60. But considering its upcoming debut has been announced, then we could expect to hear a few more details in the coming months before it launches in 2026.
