ford ecosport (sudden loss of power)

Just want an opinion on this. Our 3day old ford ecosport malfunctioned on the way to the office of my husband. One by one the systems were shutting down (info display, intruments, power steering). Luckily while still on momentum he was able to park on the side of the road. It was towed by ford and told us that the battery was discharged. The next day they told us its ready for pick-up. They just charged the battery and returned it back, the computer  reprogrammed. Our question is what caused the sudden loss of power. They just want us to pick it up and drive like nothing happenned.

Likely a problem with the computer or poor electrical grounding.

They returned the vehicle already and said they replaced the battery with a new one. And reprogrammed it.  Well all we can do is just observe, hope and pray it wont happen again.

3 days pa lang na deliver sasakyan sira n agad battery.

If the car was running and then just shuts off. I dont think the battery is the problem.

I suggest na you need to replaced the unit may warranty naman po yan. Meron po talaga diffect ang unit na binigay sa inyo. Masmaganda po palitan ng bagong unit.

Hi Ms Nikki. How's your ecosport, did your stated problem recur? Am considering buying an ecosport but your story is giving me second thoughts. Appreciate your reply and recommendation as well (ie to buy or not to buy). Tnx so much

i got mine last friday. then yesterday 1 day pa lang sya may warning na agad na transmission is hot? nag ooverheat na agad? defective din kaya unit na napunta sakin?

Im not sure if the tranny is the same with the focus or the escape or mountaineer but they have a lot of issues with their transmissions here in the US. A service tech at the ford dealer told my friend theyreplace the tranny around 100k all the time because of issues.
