Refreshed Isuzu Giga heavy-duty truck teased for JMS 2025
The Isuzu C&E Series heavy-duty truck (AKA Giga) will get some important upgrades for 2026

Isuzu is getting ready for the 2025 Japan Mobility Show (JMS), and they have plenty in store for the public to see. We already got to know about Isuzu's Multi-Fuel Engine last week, which is something we're hoping to learn more about once we get to Tokyo for the full coverage. However, they have plenty more to show at the Tokyo Big Sight.
Believe it or not, the second-generation Isuzu Giga (also called the C&E Series by Isuzu PH) has been with us since 2015. With that, it looks like the diesel specialist is getting ready to debut a refreshed version. This comes after Isuzu posted a shadowy teaser image of a truck, complete with a trailer.
According to Isuzu, the Giga will be revamped for the first time in a decade and will come with plenty of upgrades and updates. For starters, the refreshed Giga will come with intelligent driver aids, like pre-crash braking for turns, side-collision mitigation, and a wheel detachment early-warning detection system. All of these translate to better peace of mind for the drivers who pilot the Isuzu Giga.
While Isuzu did not mention any exterior updates, perhaps it will have some subtle updates here and there to give the Giga a fresher look for 2026 onwards. Combined with the fact that the teaser image only shows a silhouette of the updated heavy-duty truck, Isuzu perhaps wants the public to wait until the big reveal to show it.

Besides showing an upgraded Giga, Isuzu will also be showing the Vertical Core Cycle Concept (VCCC) at JMS 2025. For Isuzu, the VCCC represents a new era of transport that can help people and businesses move goods with ease without having to solely rely on commercial vehicles.
Thanks to its “vertical core” design, the VCCC features a shared platform that's compatible with a wide range of configurations, making it accessible to businesses, individuals, and local communities alike. Featuring a modular concept, it enables several VCCCs to be rearranged in units consisting of key components that enable a highly flexible and efficient operation.
From moving heavy loads to transporting important equipment, the VCCC is designed to offer new levels of freedom for users, as well as enhance the well-being of society.
Expect to see more concepts and commercial vehicles at the Isuzu booth at this year's JMS once the doors open to the public next week, starting October 30, 2025.
