2-km segment of NLEX Candaba Viaduct closed later tonight
Link slab works to be conducted later tonight at a 2-km portion of NLEX Candaba Viaduct

Here's a heads up to motorists who are heading north via the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) later tonight.
The NLEX Corporation has announced that a 2-km segment of the Candaba Viaduct will be closed to traffic. It will be on the northbound segment that covers KM+49 all the way to KM+51. The closure happens from 10:00 PM until 4:00 AM the next day to give way to the installation of a link slab.
A counterflow lane will be implemented at the southbound (aka Manila-bound) portion to serve as an alternate route for motorists heading to Pampanga or Tarlac.

Traffic patrols and marshals will be deployed along the closed segment in order to guide motorists. In addition, direction signs will be put up in strategic areas to warn motorists of the temporary closure.
This is not the only road work that is currently being conducted by NLEX Corporation. Earlier this week, they announced that a 2-km segment of the Subic Freeport Expressway (SFEX) is closed daily from 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM until May 16. This is to give way to engineering works under the Jadjad Bridge.
For motorists that plan to go north later tonight, better plan your trips ahead if you want to avoid the temporary lane closure of the northbound section of the Candaba Viaduct.
