2025 Lexus UX 300h revealed with nearly 200 PS
Lexus gives the UX a power bump and several neat upgrades for the 2025 model year

The UX crossover may be Lexus' smallest offering, but the automaker has just given it an update for the 2025 model year. Yes, we're waving goodbye to 2023 and will soon be saying hello to 2024, but Lexus appears to already be preparing to greet 2025.

With that, Lexus has just revealed the 2025 UX 300h and it gets a power bump over the outgoing 250h variant. According to the automaker, the 2025 UX 300h is the first vehicle to come with the fifth-generation Lexus hybrid system. It consists of the carried-over 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine from the UX 250h along with a pair of electric motors that now crank out more horsepower.
This was made possible thanks to a new hybrid transaxle which enables higher output of the front and rear electric motors. The result is a total system output of 199 PS which is an improvement over the 250h's 184 PS. In addition, the UX 300h can be fitted with the brand's E-Four all-wheel drive system.

The energy efficiency of the battery pack was also improved as Lexus replaced the nickel-metal hydride battery with the more modern (and lightweight) lithium-ion. Moreover, the 2025 Lexus UX h now comes with shift-by-wire for faster shifting which the automaker says improves the crossover's 0 – 97 km/h sprint time to 7.9 seconds (FWD) and 8.0 seconds (AWD). This makes the UX h quicker by around 0.4 seconds when compared to the 250h.

Style-wise, the 2025 UX 300h still looks the same as the 250h. However, the automaker did introduce a new color option called Copper Crest. Meanwhile, F Sport and Premium variants now get a bigger digital instrument display that measures 12.3 inches which replaces the smaller 8-inch monitor.
Other key upgrades available to the crossover include a power tailgate with a kick sensor, chrome accents inside the cabin, and updated switchgear & buttons.

With the 2025 Lexus UX 300h benefiting from a more powerful and more efficient hybrid powertrain, we can expect Lexus Philippines to bring the upgraded crossover sometime next year.
