2025 MG ZS HEV launches this July
Save the date on July 3, as MG PH will hold a grand product launch

After holding a preview of its upcoming electrified crossover at the 20th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) a few months ago, MG Motor Philippines is set to reveal its newest hybrid next month.
This comes after the automaker sent us an invitation for an upcoming launch. Based on the invite, MG will be holding a grand product launch on July 3, 2025. The invite also features a shadowy image of the soon-to-be-revealed ZS HEV.

The automaker has yet to announce the exact specifications of the ZS HEV. However, based on recent regulatory approval, the ZS HEV will likely come with a 1490cc engine, which translates to 1.5L liters of displacement. A quick check reveals that the 1.5L engine is called the L3A and is shared with the hybrid and non-hybrid versions of the MG3 Hatchback.
In other markets, the ZS HEV is powered by a 1.5L naturally-aspirated engine that’s assisted by an electric motor and a 1.83 kWh battery pack. The result is a combined system output of 196 PS with 250 Nm of torque that is managed by a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). If the output looks familiar, that’s because the MG3 Hybrid also makes the same amount of power.

With MG Motor Philippines set to debut the all-new MG ZS HEV this July, we’re curious what the suggested retail price of the electrified crossover.
