Audi’s first high-performance plug-in hybrid is now in the Philippine market.

PGA Cars, the official distributor of Audi in the Philippines has launched the all-new 2026 Audi RS 5 Avant PHEV which combines electrified performance, the signature quattro all-wheel-drive system, and generous interior space brought by its wagon body style in one package.

The low and wide performance wagon features the signature Audi Singleframe grille in front, complemented by matrix LED headlights and DRLs with dynamic turn signals. As an Audi RS model, it features more aggressive styling with the RS Bumper Plus package, and gets a meaner look with the Black Optics package that gives the exterior more gloss black finishes on the trims.

The exterior look is wrapped up with the Audi rings getting a 2D look in anthracite gray, plus the 21-inch cast aluminum wheels are designed with a graphic print in its darkened diamond turned finish. Other RS bits include a sports exhaust system, and a sport suspension with controlled 2-valve dampers. 

Inside, the RS 5 Avant PHEV features the Audi Sport seat plus wrapped in fine nappa leather, trimmed with honeycomb patterns and contrast stitching. The dark theme blends with the Audi virtual cockpit plus, with plenty of creature comforts such as power seats with memory, heating, massage, and ventilation function, ambient lighting, panoramic glass roof with switchable transparency, tri-zone climate control, and a Bang & Olufsen premium sound system.

Under the hood is a 2.9-liter, twin-turbo V6 TFSI engine that’s assisted by an electric motor sandwiched between the engine and the 8-speed Tiptronic transmission. Together, the plug-in hybrid powertrain produces 639 HP and 825 Nm of torque sent to all four wheels courtesy of the quattro all-wheel-drive system with a self-locking center differential. 

The Audi RS 5 Avant PHEV has a top speed of 285 km/h. Meanwhile, the 25.9 kWh battery gives the model the ability to drive on electric power alone for up to 83 km.

In terms of safety, the plug-in hybrid performance wagon is fitted with front, rear, and side airbags with head airbag system and front interaction airbags, plus a lengthy list of sensor and radar-based safety features in the Audi Adaptive Driving Assistant Plus suite.
