All-electric BYD eMAX 7 MPV officially confirmed for PH
BYD Cars PH is ready to disrupt the MPV market with the eMAX 7

The cat is officially out of the bag. After being certified by the LTO for the local market and spotted being transported on local roads, BYD Cars Philippines distributor ACMobility has teased its latest offering, which will be revealed soon. That vehicle is the eMAX 7, and it's set to disrupt the MPV market.

Like the vehicles spotted last month being carried by a transporter, the eMAX7 will be an electric MPV that could take on the likes of the Toyota Innova Zenix, the Hyundai Custin, and the GAC M6 Pro. According to LTO homologation documents, the eMAX 7 will be available in Standard and Superior Captain variants.

Based on the variant names, the eMAX 7 will likely be offered as a seven-seater (Standard) and as a six-seater (Superior Captain). The all-electric MPV will also measure 4710mm long, 1810mm wide, 1690mm tall, will have a 2800mm wheelbase, and 170mm of ground clearance. In terms of output, the eMAX 7 Standard will put out 163 PS, while the Superior Captain is listed to produce 204 PS.

Both variants of the eMAX 7 will have a lithium-iron phosphate battery, an AC recharge time of 11 hours, and a DC recharge time of 45 minutes. The Standard model claims to have a range of up to 420 km, while the Superior Captain can travel up to 530 km before needing a recharge.

Other details regarding the eMAX 7 remain a mystery. However, we won't be surprised if BYD Cars Philippines holds the official reveal at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show later this month.
