The COVID-19 pandemic may have temporarily halted car production and sales globally, but it did not stop automakers from designing or updating their model line up. Take Bentley, for example: they've been been busy making the final design changes on its flagship SUV.

After debuting nearly five years ago, it looks like the Bentley Bentayga will be receiving its first-ever facelift. Recently, pictures of what appears to be the refreshed Bentayga made their way onto the internet. Posted by Instagram user 'kurdistan_automotive_blog', the 2021 Bentayga appears to have a subtle refresh. This Instagram "blog" has been consistently leaking photos from other manufacturers well before the launch.

Starting with the exterior, the changes are not easily noticeable. But after taking a good look at the front fascia, keen-eyed viewers will notice that the headlights now have an oval-shaped design instead of a circular one. The lower corner air intakes, meanwhile, look like they have been reshaped and appear to bigger as well.

As for the lower front grille, it no longer flanks the far edges of the front fascia. A new set of turbine-style alloy wheels round up the exterior revisions seen on what could be the 2021 Bentayga.

Leaked: Are you the 2021 Bentley Bentayga? image

We also got to take at what might be the 2021 Bentayga's interior. It's not exactly clear as to what Bentley changed inside the cabin. What we do know, however, is that it might have a digital multi-info display, as well as an upgraded infotainment system. With no physical buttons on the center screen, it looks like Bentley might have gone over to a touchscreen-based system.

While the four-seat configuration on this particular photo might be of interest, it's highly likely that the previous seven-seater and five-seater model variants of the Bentayga will be available still on the 2021 facelift.

There's no word yet as to what engines will be offered on the supposed 2021 Bentayga. More than likely, Bentley will be continuing to offer the twin-turbo W12, twin-turbo V8, and the plug-in hybrid turbo V6 powertrains. The Audi-sourced twin-turbo diesel V8 might also be available soon for the refreshed luxury SUV.

With the supposedly leaked photos of the 2021 Bentley Bentayga looking like the real thing, perhaps the global reveal is not too far off. Who knows, maybe the official launch might happen in a couple of days, weeks, or maybe even next month.
