New LTO chief is Vigor Mendoza II
Former Transport Group representative Atty. Vigor Mendoza II appointed as new Land Transportation Office Assistant Secretary.

President Ferdinand “Bong Bong” Marcos, Jr., has appointed Erap administration-era Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) executive, Atty. Vigor Mendoza iII as new the Land Transportation Office chief.

He will replace Atty. Jose Arturo “Jay Art” Tugade, who resigned back in May due to “differing methods” with LTO’s parent agency, the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
Atty. Vigor Mendoza II, who served as a board member at LTFRB during former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada’s term, also served as a Party List representative for 1-UTAK (United Transport Alliance Koalisyon).
Mendoza will be responsible for finding efficient solutions to problems facing the LTO which include the backlog of motor vehicle license plates, driver's license card shortage, and the re-implementation of the controversial motor vehicle inspection system (MVIS); to name a few.
