Mitsubishi's stake in the crossover segment gets a mild facelift for 2016 after the automaker introduced the refreshed ASX.

For the 2016 model year, the ASX crossover receives a new face courtesy of the brand's Dynamic Shield. It also gets a new set of 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, wheel lip moldings and new side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals.

Inside, the cabin relatively carries over apart from the new seat material, slightly revised multifunction steering wheel and new dashboard trim pieces.

Under the hood, the 2016 ASX is still driven by the 2.0-liter 4B11 MIVEC inline-four. It produces 150 PS at 6000 rpm along with 197 Nm of torque at 4200 rpm.  It is then mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that comes with 6-speed sequential shifting and paddle shifters.

Features like the super-wide range HID headlights, panoramic glass roof, leather seats and LED daytime running lights (DRLs) are only available for the range-topping GSR.
