2024 Ford Mustang coming to PH soon
Ford Philippines is on for a very strong 2023.
They’ve got the new Ranger lighting up the sales charts, and they just launched the new Ranger Raptor to headline the model range. They’ve got the new Everest doing the same thing in the PPV midsize SUV segment, and there’s even news that the first units of the Everest Wildtrak arriving.
Apparently, Ford has more on the way. We’ve already reported on the plan to bring the F-150 Raptor by year’s end; hopefully, that pushes through. But there may be another, and it’s one we will be able to hear coming from a few blocks away.
If all goes to plan, we may see the 2024 Ford Mustang in Philippine showrooms before the year is done.
Yes, there’s an all-new Mustang known as the S650, and it was first revealed in September 2022 at the Detroit auto show. The new generation of Ford’s pony (or muscle) car features updated styling inside and out, a range of new and improved engines from the 319 PS 2.3L EcoBoost, the 487-507 PS 5.0L V8, and an 800 PS 5.2L supercharged V8. Transmission choices included a 10-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual.
While there are many who question the viability of the Mustang in the Philippines, the model has proved very popular here since Ford started offering the model officially in their showrooms. It started in 2012 with the fifth generation Mustang, followed by the sixth generation in late 2014. Needless to say, many customers are looking forward to the new model, though there has been no indication regarding specific variants and prices.
As to when exactly, we were told by our contacts that they were looking at the “-ber” months of 2023. Since it’s practically already September, we don’t have much longer to wait if all goes well. Of course, all that depends on the absence of further issues and delays. Right now, there have been issues with shipping automobiles, and space on a boat is at a premium.
Hopefully, there are no delays, but don’t be surprised if there are.
