Subaru PH starts sales of 2022 Outback with early bird discount
A PHP 50,000 discount awaits customers that reserve a 2022 Subaru Outback before September 30, 2021

After opening the order books last month, Motor Image Pilipinas has officially launched the 2022 Subaru Outback. Now on its sixth generation, the wagon/crossover gets a restyled interior and exterior, comes with an improved EyeSight safety system, and is now underpinned by the Subaru Global Platform like the Forester.
Starting with the exterior changes, Subaru went for a subtle update on the Outback's looks. It features a revised front grille, new front and rear bumpers, a sleeker set of LED headlights and taillights, and new 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 225/60/R18 tires.

In terms of size, the 2022 Outback is 50mm longer and 35mm wider than its predecessor. The result is a significant improvement in packaging and cabin space despite the 2745mm wheelbase being carried over. For those concerned about taking the Outback off the beaten path, it has a generous 213mm of ground clearance.
Moving to the interior, Subaru gave the Outback a more luxurious look and feel. It now features Nappa leather seats (a first for Subaru), a massive 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a tablet-like display, a 576-watt Harman/Kardon 11-speaker sound system with 11 speakers/subwoofer, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity.

Under the hood, the 2022 Outback is powered by a 2.5-liter, naturally-aspirated flat-four engine. It produces 188 PS at 5800 rpm along with 245 Nm of torque at 3400 – 4600 rpm. Power is then sent to all four wheels via a Lineartronic CVT and a Symmetrical all-wheel-drive system. Unfortunately, no turbo-engine for the local units.
Subaru also upgraded the safety features on the 2022 Outback. At the forefront is the brand's intelligent safety system called EyeSight. Now on its latest version (4.0), pre-collision braking now covers more traffic scenarios at intersections thanks to its new stereo cameras and wider angle coverage. Moreover, EyeSight 4.0 now comes with the following: autonomous emergency steering, adaptive cruise control with lane-centering function, lane departure warning with lane departure prevention, driver monitoring, and a 360-degree camera.

The 2022 Subaru Outback is only available in one variant (2.5i-T EyeSight) and retails for PHP 2,380,000. Customers that will reserve a unit before September 30, 2021, will be entitled to an exclusive PHP 50,000 introductory discount. The first batch of Outback owners will also receive a limited-edition Bynd Artisan leather pouch.
A total of 7 colors are available for the all-new wagon/crossover: Brilliant Bronze Metallic, Crimson Red Pearl, Crystal Black Silica, Crystal White Pearl, Dark Blue Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic, and Storm Gray Metallic.
