TIME 2014: Ford Mustang makes ASEAN debut
The 2015 Ford Mustang makes its ASEAN debut at the 2014 Thailand International Motor Expo, slated for Philippine debut next year.
The 2015 Ford Mustang made its regional debut at the 2014 Thailand International Motor Expo, making its first appearance in the ASEAN region.
The 2015 Mustang on display during the show was a 2.3-liter EcoBoost variant in left-hand drive configuration. Ford says the Mustang EcoBoost engine uses direct injection, variable cam timing, and turbocharger housing that enables it to “deliver the performance Mustang drivers expect.”
The 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine can deliver 309 PS and 406 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and can go from 0 to 100 km/h in around 5 seconds.
As of this writing, the 2015 Mustang is scheduled to debut in the Philippines early next year. The iconic pony car will also be offered in Malaysia and Singapore. However, Ford has yet to confirm whether the 2015 Mustang will be available in Thailand. The automaker is gauging local market interest for the iconic model with the reveal, according to ASEAN Communications Director Neal McCarthy.
