Toyota Land Cruiser 300 HEV now on DOE list; launch soon?
Philippine market could be next destination of Toyota Land Cruiser 300 hybrid

Last year, Toyota held the global reveal of the Land Cruiser 300 HEV, bringing electrification to its flagship SUV. As expected, the Middle East market got first dibs, while the Australian market is set to commence retail sales of the SUV this first half of 2026.
In case you’re curious about the next market where the hybrid Land Cruiser 300 will be headed, our latest discovery tells us the Philippines could be on its radar. The Department of Energy has added the Land Cruiser 300 HEV to its list of recognized hybrid models, making it eligible to enjoy the benefits of electrified vehicles such as priority registration and of course, coding exemption once it launches here.

The latest listing aligns to the previous information we had that Toyota Motor Philippines has already received regulatory approval for the model. Based on the new DOE listing, the Land Cruiser 300 HEV will come in the ZX trim, and will be powered by a 3.5-liter twin turbo V6 – the same powertrain found under the hood of the LC300’s twin, the Lexus LX700h.
In other markets, the combined setup produces 457 PS and 790 Nm of torque – a major step up in performance compared to the LC300’s 3.3-liter, twin-turbo V6 diesel that puts out 306 PS and 700 Nm. Battery size will be 1.83 kWh, which is right about the usual size for a self-charging hybrid vehicle.

Toyota said during its global launch that the hybrid setup was extensively tested in the world’s harshest environments, including the deserts and mountains of the Middle East. This ensures customers the hybrid version keeps up with the rugged durability befitting a Land Cruiser.
For now, Toyota Motor Philippines is yet to make an official announcement. But with the Philippine International Motor Show happening at an earlier date this year, there’s now a good reason to expect TMP to bring the LC300 HEV there.
