Find it hard to carve out time from your busy schedule to cue up in a bank to pay for your fines for traffic violations?
Well the next time you need to settle payment for ‘beating the red light’ or some other traffic violation, do it at your own convenience at any Bayad Center nationwide.
After announcing in early June that a Memorandum of Agreement has been signed between the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), SM Bills Payment and Bayad Center for motorists to be able to remit payment for fines at any of their centers, the service has officially become available starting Friday last week, July 29, 2016.
"Starting July 29, all Bayad Center branches nationwide will be able to accept payments for MMDA traffic violation fines," the MMDA announced via its official Facebook page.
This will make it easy for motorists residing in the province to remit their payment for traffic violations in order to avoid getting tagged and prevented from renewing their driver’s licenses.
“We are making available all the facilities near them (violators) to settle the fines immediately and avoid being on the alarm list of government agencies when they are applying for a clearance or renewing their vehicle registration,” said MMDA OIC Emerson Carlos.
Aside from motoring violations, pedestrians caught littering and jaywalking may also pay through any Bayad Center branch or SM mall's payment kiosks nationwide.
