Will Nissan launch NISMO version of Skyline sedan?
Nissan teases new NISMO model debuting on August 8

Another Nissan model is about to get the NISMO treatment.
Fresh from the unveiling of the all-new Z NISMO, Nissan is set to launch another mystery model tomorrow, August 8. A teaser for the incoming model is on Nissan Japan's official YouTube page that says “8/8 10:30 New Model Release” showing only the silhouette of the new vehicle.
Currently, Nissan vehicles that have a special NISMO version include the Note, Leaf, Patrol, the high-performance GT-R, and the recently launched Z. And based on the silhouette, we can expect a sedan or a hatchback as the proportions are not likely to fit a crossover.

So which vehicle could this be? If we're right, the closest model that resembles the silhouette appears to be the Skyline sedan. Yes, the one without the GT-R badge.
From the R35 onwards, the GT-R has become a standalone model rather than a high-performance version of the Skyline. The standard Skyline models continued as Japan-only releases, while it is being sold in other markets under the luxury Infiniti brand. The current model even has a self-driving feature called the ProPilot, which AutoIndustriya was able to experience in Japan.
We won't have to wait long as the teaser campaign will only last a day. Let's stay tuned tomorrow to see what new NISMO model Nissan will launch.
