Will Smith has a new Porsche 911 for Bad Boys 3
Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and the Porsche 911 return for Bad Boys 3 in January

Aside from the comedy and action-packed scenes between Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, the Bad Boys movies are known for its choice of cars. In the first one, that car was a Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6 driven by Will Smith’s character, Mikey Lowrey. If you happen to have watched the film, you’ll also know the 964 raced a Shelby Cobra towards the end of the movie. Meanwhile, in the 2003 film Bad Boys II, Smith’s character traded up to a Ferrari 575M Maranello which was used in a destructive car chase resulting in the dashboard being shot up.
Next year, the Bad Boys will be back in the third installment of Bad Boys For Life starring the same duo of Smith and Lawrence. More importantly, Smith’s character also gets a new ride; this time he’s back in a Porsche 911.
Based on the trailer, it appears to be a 911 Carrera 4S finished in a stunning shade of metallic blue. While it’s not the more powerful Turbo variant as the 964 in the first movie, do remember that Porsche has not revealed the 992 Turbo just yet. This means that the Carrera 4S is currently the top-of-the-line model available. It seems Mike Lowrey’s trust fund money has not run out just yet.
The new 911 gets a lot of screen time in the trailer, too. In fact, it’s shown in the opening scene where Lawrence’s character hits the door on a fire hydrant. Later on, you see it being driven inside a shopping mall.
Judging by the trailer alone, the upcoming Bad Boys movie will be just as action-packed as the first two. Expect the new 911 to be highlight a lot, from beauty shots together with car chase scenes. Hopefully, it will live up to the reputation of the 911 Turbo used in the first film.
Bad Boys For Life will be released on January 17, 2020. If you haven’t watched the trailer, you can do so above.
