Back in August 2017, Porsche revealed the all-new Cayenne. More recently, we got a first hand experience of driving the third-generation Porsche Cayenne both on- and off-road in Malaysia. Now, the brand’s flagship SUV has officially arrived in the Philippines.

PGA Cars Inc., the official distributor of Porsche in the Philippines, introduced today the 2018 Cayenne at the Powerplant Mall in Makati.

Beginning with its style, the third-generation Cayenne's design remained faithful to that of its predecessors. It does have a sleeker design and adopts similar visual cues to that of current models. In front, there are sweptback headlights which feature Porsche’s signature 4-LED daytime-running-lights. It also sports a redesigned bumper with a larger and wider grill.

At the rear, it sports a design similar to that of the current-generation Panamera Sport Turismo. It also comes with the one-piece design taillights, which are found on most Porsche models except the current 911.

When it comes to size, the third-generation Cayenne retains the 2,895mm wheelbase of its predecessor. The body however, is now longer by 63mm while the roof is now lower by 9mm. Thanks to the minor adjustments, Porsche claimed that the Cayenne has a better cargo space than before. On the flipside, the new Cayenne is also lighter by 65 kg thanks to extensive use of lightweight alloys.

Inside, the Cayenne’s signature ‘grab handles’ have also been carried over. However, most of the buttons are now integrated into a touchscreen-like panel on the center console. In front of the driver, there is still an analog tachometer, but is now flanked by two 7-inch HD muti-info displays.
