2022 Honda HR-V starts at about PHP 1.3M; turbo variant available
2022 Honda HR-V gets VTEC Turbo and Honda Sensing

Last November, the third-generation Honda HR-V made its regional debut in Thailand. This got us wondering as to when do we get our hands on this new model, as it's been seven years since the second-generation HR-V was launched in the Philippines. The third-generation model is almost here and looks like it will offer something new for its fans.
Honda Cars Philippines, Inc (HCPI) is launching the all-new Honda HR-V on April 19, and we're glad to tell you that the subcompact crossover will be offered with two engine options for its two model variants – a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter for the base S variant, and a 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo for the top-of-the-line V model.

HCPI did not disclose details regarding the specs of both engine options. However, following the Thai-spec details, the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated i-VTEC engine could make 131 PS at 6600 rpm with 155 Nm of torque at 4600 rpm.
On the other hand, the 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo engine could be derived from the all-new Civic. On paper, the Civic engine makes 178 PS along with 240 Nm of torque. Like most Hondas in showrooms, both powertrains are paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The all-new HR-V also features the Honda Sensing safety suite in both variants, giving the subcompact crossover a host of driver-assist and safety tech such as collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control with low speed follow, lane-keeping assist system, and road departure mitigation system with lane departure warning.
According to HCPI, the Honda HR-V's price will range from PHP 1,300,000 to PHP 1,600,000 and will come in four colors – Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Premium White Pearl (additional PHP 20,000), and Premium Opal White Silver (additional PHP 20,000, exclusive to V Turbo CVT).
Did the all-new 2022 Honda HR-V's new features and styling get you interested to buy one? Well, you don't have to wait for the launch, as HCPI announced that their 37 Honda Cars dealerships nationwide are ready to accept reservations starting April 1, 2022.
