All-new Hyundai Stargazer to be available in 3 variants, launches Nov 9

After being confirmed for the Philippine market (and being spotted on a transporter), Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc (HMPH) has officially announced they are now accepting reservations for the Stargazer 7-seater MPV.

Making its global debut at this year’s Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), the Stargazer is set to take on the likes of the Mitsubishi Xpander, Toyota Veloz, Suzuki XL7, and the all-new Honda BR-V.

For the Philippine market, the 2023 Stargazer will be available in three distinct variants; 1.5 GL, 1.5 GLS, and 1.5 GLS Premium. More importantly, the Hyundai MPV will start at a special introductory price of PHP 998,000 for the 1.5 GL at all authorized 38 dealerships nationwide.

While no exact powertrains were mentioned in detail, we already know that all variants will come with a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine that is shared with the Creta. In Indonesia, it makes 115 PS at 6300 rpm along with 144 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. Available transmissions include an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) and a 6-speed manual gearbox.

As for cabin amenities, Hyundai has already stated that it will have a 4.2-inch TFT digital gauge cluster, touchscreen infotainment that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, multiple storage spaces, a seatback table for the second row, as well as a drive mode selector for the automatic transmission.

A wide array of intelligent safety features will be available in the 2023 Stargazer via the Hyundai Smart Sense suite of assistance systems. These include, but are not limited to, collision avoidance, blind-spot detection, a tire pressure monitoring system, and rear occupant alert to ensure you won’t forget about the kids or pets.

And we intend to address these through our future-oriented design, top-of-class advanced safety and technological systems, and unmatched driver and passenger comfort,” said Cecil Capacete, Managing Director of HMPH.

The official launch of the all-new Hyundai Stargazer is set for November 9, 2022, via the company’s official Facebook page. That means we are only just several weeks away before the Stargazer makes its Philippine debut, beating the arrival of the Honda BR-V by about two weeks.
