2023 Nissan Almera refresh makes regional debut
Nissan debuts facelifted Almera in Thailand

Back in October last year, Nissan revealed the refreshed version of the Almera for the North American market, featuring slight tweaks inside out, as well as a host of extra intelligent features.
Fast forward to the present, the refreshed Nissan Almera has found its way to the ASEAN region packing similar changes and enhancements for the 2023 model year.

For starters, the refreshed Almera gets the updated version of Nissan's signature V-motion grille. Featuring a combination of piano black and chrome accents, the wider grille gives the B-segment sedan a bolder and more aggressive appearance.

While the Almera for the North American market gets 17-inch wheels for the top-spec model, the one revealed in Thailand remains equipped with smaller 15-inch alloys. Of note, the top-spec VL model in the Philippines has larger 16-inch wheels than the Thai-spec model. There's also the new Gray Sky Pearl exterior color for the Thai market.

Inside, the Thai-spec Almera receives a new interior colorway. From the previous black and white color scheme, the refreshed Almera now has a black and blue theme. Introduced for the first time is the Nissan Connect Services, an in-vehicle technology suite combining navigation, security, and entertainment. Other features include wireless charging and a frameless rear-view mirror.
The refreshed Almera's powertrain remains unchanged for the Thai market – a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbo with 100 PS and 152 Nm of torque paired to an Xtronic CVT transmission. New for 2023 is the addition of cruise control.
As for its safety features, the Almera gets 6 SRS airbags, plus advanced driving assistance features like AEB, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Tire Pressure Monitoring, and High-Beam Assist.

Do note that specs and features will vary once the refreshed Philippine-spec Almera is offered to the market. And as of now, Nissan has not yet announced details regarding the introduction of the 2023MY Almera to the country. But since we already saw what appears to be a camouflaged prototype of the Almera being driven on Philippine roads last March 2023, we might not have to wait that long for its eventual reveal.
But for now, we'll keep our eyes peeled for future updates regarding this updated B-segment sedan from Nissan.
